Ruth will share about her recently completed research report drawn from a survey of home educators’ experiences of accessing healthcare, past and present, in the context of attitudes of healthcare professionals towards the fact that they home educate and any negative impacts of discriminatory attitudes or breaches of confidentiality (if those were experienced). Alongside this, the report explores the survey of home educators’ opinions on any proposals or ideas to mandate data-sharing from healthcare sources for educational purposes, addressing the resultant impact of any such measures.
