Learn Free Home Educators' Conference was first run in 2012, when it was organised by Juliet English and volunteers from the local Christian Home Educators Warwickshire group (CHEW). The aim of the conference is to equip, enable, encourage and empower parents to educate their children with boldness and freedom, and the organisers seek to bring together speakers who can inspire and motivate parents from their own personal stories, experience and wisdom. We also try to bring together resource providers for our attendees to connect with. The conference has been held in May of every year since 2012, going virtual from 2020 - 2024. It is the only conference of its kind in the UK, that runs consistently every year with this type of content. The conference is aimed specifically at parents, recognising that "you can't pour from an empty cup"! Volunteers are welcome from all over the country.
This day is for you if:
You are new to home education and feel overwhelmed or unsure
You are home educating because school didn’t meet your child’s needs
You want clarity about what home education actually involves
You want to move beyond school-at-home models
You are an established home educator seeking confidence, freedom, or renewal
You do not need to have everything figured out to attend.
By the end of the conference, parents will:
Understand what home education is — and what it doesn’t need to be
Feel more confident in their role as their child’s educator
Gain practical, flexible approaches they can adapt to their family
Feel reassured that there is no single “right” way
Leave encouraged to make thoughtful, bold choices with confidence
Above all, we want you to leave thinking:
“I can do this — and I’m allowed to do it my way.”
