Learn Free Home Educators' Conference was first run in 2012, when it was organised by Juliet English and volunteers from the local Christian Home Educators Warwickshire group (CHEW). The aim of the conference is to equip, enable, encourage and empower parents to educate their children with boldness and freedom, and the organisers seek to bring together speakers who can inspire and motivate parents from their own personal stories, experience and wisdom. We also try to bring together resource providers for our attendees to connect with. The conference has been held in May of every year since 2012, going virtual from 2020. It is the only conference of its kind in the UK, that runs consistently every year with this type of content. The conference is aimed specifically at parents, recognising that "you can't pour from an empty cup"! Volunteers are now welcomed from all over the country.
Although most of our speakers are invited to participate, we will consider applications. Please complete THIS FORM
Please complete THIS FORM to apply to exhibit at Learn Free. Cost is £35, and includes the opportunity to exhibit virtually and in-person in Coventry on 20 May 2023.
Babes-in-arms/breastfeeding babies are welcome to accompany their parents.
Here at Learn Free, we love children, but we are unable to offer childcare for older children due to venue and volunteer capacity. You give to your children all year round - this is your opportunity as a parent to invest in your home ed journey and take time for yourself to receive encouragement, inspiration, and motivation which will in turn benefit the whole family!
Our conference volunteers can assist in different ways:
Virtual Conference - assist with moderation of zoom sessions or tech support
In-person Conference on 20 May - registration table, refreshments, co-ordinating resource providers, taking care of speakers, etc.
Volunteers attend the conference free of charge. To apply, please complete this form.
